We had the best date night at the Central Park Holiday Lights in Lake Mary, Florida!
Central Park is next to some very nice little restaurants. We’re in love with the menu and food at Lonnie’s Fusion Cuisine so we stopped in there first for dinner.

Lonnie’s is a fairly small place, with only five booths and six bar stools at a bar inside, and four tables outside. We called earlier in the day to reserve a table facing the park. We were glad that we had as the tables were at capacity when we left.

There were so many things on the menu that sounded great, it was hard to decide what to order. However, we managed to narrow it down to a couple things.
First, we enjoyed Caesar Salads that were delicious….crispy romaine with creamy caesar dressing along with glasses of St. Supery Sauvignon Blanc.

I ordered Asian Fish Tacos, nicely grilled mahi mahi, crunchy slivered red bell peppers and cabbage accented with spicy Wasabi Aioli. We both chose the teriyaki broccoli, edamame, and carrots combo – they were a perfect accompaniment to the tacos. Rice and corn tortilla chips were on the side. It was enough food that we could have easily shared.

Adriel chose the Seared Island Style Shrimp swimming in an orange juice-based beurre blanc. The flavors so subtle, it was, ‘Let me taste that again…oh, wow!’

We shared the Peppermint Cheesecake in Dark Chocolate Cup for dessert. The cheesecake was absolutely fantastic…creamy, intense mint perfectly accompanied by the dark chocolate. Our cappuccinos were the right amount of frothy.

Dinner done, we left Lonnie’s and headed across the parking lot to Central Park and the Holiday Lights show.
The Holiday Lights Show starts at 5:00 pm daily, with the choreographed-to-holiday-music show every half hour on the hour between 6:00 and 11:30 pm until January 5, 2020.
Lights dancing in time with music is magical, and wonderful to experience.

Families strolled among the displays, children running and playing.

A fenced-off area for picnics when it’s warm.
Find Snoopy at the entrance to the picnic area.

It was a great holiday lights date night. If you live in the area north of Orlando, we heartily recommend it!
