About two years ago, we were watching a TV series by Waldemar Januszczak, a British art critique, about Renaissance art. Around that time, we also viewed a mini-series about the Medici family in Florence. We were engrossed, and started fantasizing our exploring Florence, it’s art, and history. We knew that we had to go.
Later, the idea of Venice as part of the trip came up…and we thought, ‘Why not?’ There are a lot of those paintings in Venice too.

We’ll spend four days in Venice, take the train to Florence, and spend another four days there. We have a full day tour scheduled in each city, with lots of time left open for exploring on our own. I can taste the wine and pasta already! Let’s go!
